Wowbook was created in Barcelona the idea arose following an academic project by Barbara Roig and Núria Vila on the postgraduate course from the Escola de Llibreria organised by the Facultat de Biblioteconomia i Documentació de la Universitat de Barcelona and the Gremi de Llibreters de Catalunya.
At a time when it seemed that books were on their way out! We know from experience that books don't leave anyone indifferent and, according to Roberto Casati, the paper book "maintains intact its heuristic and cognitive potential" and is an object "so humble, so available, that is it capable of bringing us, noiselessly, everything that men have ever though, felt, imagined, dreamed, described, from the biggest landscapes to the smallest corners of the soul".
Our common ground is our great love of books and our confidence that paper books are immortal.
Our professional activity in the work of books for many years we have developed a sensitivity that we want to share. In a world where is seems replaceable, the paper book has remained indestructible and accompanies us throughout our lives.
